CAT Guard 

CAT Guard is a unique device that attaches to the exhaust pipe and activates an alarm should any would-be thief attempt to steal the catalytic converter. When the ignition is switched off the alarm will automatically set so no driver input is required. Once armed the ACTIVE DETERRENT is activated in order to warn off potential thieves.

Special software built in to the system allow it to differentiate between vehicle movement such as doors slamming and a cutting device being used on the exhaust.

Additional inputs allow for extra security devices to be added to protect items such as the spare wheel or opening of the bonnet. With an optional GSM text message device, should the alarm activate a customised message can be sent to 5 mobile devices.

Six catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles parked on DT Close garage forecourt, on Station Road, and one taken from a commercial vehicle parked on the Toll Bar industrial estate.
