Tank Guard

With rising fuel costs, diesel is rapidly becoming better known as “liquid gold”. With the fuel tanks exposed, professional and opportunist thieves see diesel as an easy target and a quick way to make money.

Locking fuel caps and anti-siphon devices are simple method to deter thieves but only solve part of the problem. If a thief can not access the fuel due to a locking cap, they are likely to either try and remove it with physical force or even worse and attempt to puncture the tank in order to remove fuel, causing more cost and vehicle down time.

The TruckSecure system is unique and innovative. Both Tank Guard and CAT Guard are designed to deter the thief from targeting a vehicle in the first instance with their ACTIVE DETERENT feature. However should the criminal persist and attack the vehicle, Trucksecure will detect this and initiate an alarm, activating the sounder and high intensity xeon strobe.

Optional additions such as the voice siren which verbally warns the thief that they have been detected or the GSM text-message device which sends an alert to a number of phones warning that an attack is in progress displaying registration number and vehicle type can be added to enhance the vehicle security further.

CAT Guard

As metal prices soar and precious metals become more sort after, the increase in catalytic theft has risen dramatically. Like lorry fuel tanks, catalytic converters are exposed and with their platinum content are extremely valuable. At prices between £1500 and £4000 to replace, a theft can become very costly for a vehicle fleet

Utilising the same component parts as Tank Guard, CAT Guard operates in the same innovative way using it’s ACTIVE DETERENT to deter criminals in the first instance.

To steal a catalytic converter most thieves cut the exhaust on either side of the unit with tools such as battery powered saw’s and angle grinders. This results in not only the lose of the unit itself but also damage to the exhaust and header pipe normally resulting in replacement and additional cost, plus in some cases severe damage to the underside of the bodywork.

With CAT Guard installed, as soon as an attempt is made to cut the pipe the unit will sense the attack and cause an immediate alarm saving both lose of catalytic converter and damage to the vehicle.

Like Tank Guard, the CAT Guard unit can be fitted with our optional GSM text-message device to send an alert to a number of phones warning that a theft is in progress displaying registration number and vehicle type.
