Tank Guard
Tank Guard is designed to work in conjunction with your existing security devices such as locking fuel cap or anti-syphon device. For simplicity of use, the Tank Guard will automatically arm after the ignition has been switched off for sixty seconds. Thereafter the ACTIVE DETERRENT will flash the strobe for seven seconds every minute in order to warn off potential thieves. This proven technique in crime reduction can have the effect of reducing the likely-hood of attack in the vehicle by at least eight fold!
Tank Guard has a sophisticated sensor fitted externally in a discreet location on the outside of the fuel tank. If thieves attempt to remove the locked cap, or jemmy out the sender or in any way attack the tank then the Tank Guard alarm will be activated. This will result in a 114 decibel siren or voice alarm giving a deafening warning along with a high intensity flashing strobe to drive the thieves away.

TANK Guard Kit – 01
Tank Guard is available to purchase in kit format for a vehicle fitted with one fuel tank. Vehicles with more than one fuel tank will require Tank KIT-01 plus an additional tank sensor FT-02.
Tank KIT-01 consists of Controller FT-01, Sensor FT-02, Piezo Sounder FT-03, Xeon Strobe FT-04 and Tank Guard warning label.

Accessories
FT-01 Controller Unit
Common to both Tank Guard and CAT Guard, the controller is mounted in a discreet location usually inside the cab and is connected to the vehicle supply and ignition. On detection of an attack, Tank Guard will activate the sounder and high intensity strobe. If the optional GSM text message module is fitted, it will send an alert to a number of phones informing that an attack is in progress displaying registration number and vehicle type. One per vehicle.

FT-02 TANK Guard Sensor
The Tank Guard sensor is a unique device that wires directly to the controller. It is fitted to the fuel tank retaining strap and senses for any attempt to forcibly remove the cap or attack the fuel tank. One per fuel tank.

FT-03 Piezo Sounder
Connected to the main controller, the sounder is fitted externally in the vicinity of the fuel tank. On activation a 114dB high pitched siren is emitted warning of a fuel theft in progress. FT-04 High Intensity Xeon Strobe
Connected directly to the control unit, the strobe has many functions. It’s main purpose is to activate should an alarm occur and to function as an ACTIVE DETERRENT to deter criminals. However it will also activate for a short period of time as visual assurance when the system is armed and when the vehicle is re-fuelled to inform the driver that the system is functioning correctly. Minimum of one per vehicle.

FT-05 Voice Loud Hailer
Connected directly to the main controller, the sounder is fitted externally in the vicinity of the fuel tank. On activation a 110dB siren is emitted followed by a stern male voice warning of a fuel theft in progress. Please listen to the siren below: Fuel Theft Demo © to hear the sound it makes! FT-06 GSM-Text Message Module
The optional GSM text-message module offers remote monitoring of the system. Should a fuel theft attempt take place an alert will be sent to a number of phones with registration number and vehicle type. In addition the unit can transmit a text when the vehicle is re-fuelled. Network SIM card required.
